Introduction |
Gloria Hotels & Resorts is a hotel
development and management company formed in 1992 as a
wholly-owned subsidiary of COFCO (Hong Kong) Ltd. - the
investment arm of China National Cereals, Oils and
Foodstuffs Import and Export Corporation.
Since then, Gloria Hotels & Resorts has expanded to
become one of the largest hotel groups in the People’s
Republic of China, aggressively pursuing the goal of
establishing a network of hotels and hotel brands
throughout China; at the same time introducing and
developing international service and management
standards at these hotels.
Gloria Hotels & Resorts’ development of its brand
awareness in both the domestic and overseas markets is
supported by a strong expansion plan and a rapidly
expanding network of locations throughout the country.
In the initial phase of development, the group focused
on the important commercial and industrial cities of
Northeast China - spearheaded by the flagship hotel in
Beijing. The next phases of development spawned
properties in southern China and the rapidly developing
cities along the Yangtze River.
Today, Gloria Hotels & Resorts with a portfolio of 17
properties around China, is ranked as one of the world’s
Top 300 Hotel Management Companies (source: Hotels
Magazine) and manages a total room inventory well in
excess of 4,600 hotel rooms in the capital, major and
secondary cities in the People’s Republic of China. As
it moves to acquire more management contracts in the
near future, Gloria Hotels & Resorts is well set to
achieve its goal of owning a portfolio of 25 to 30
management contracts within the next 5 years to come.
