Olympic Sailing Center

The Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center is located in the East New District of Fushan Bay, next to the North Sea shipyard site. It is also adjacent to the May Fourth Square and the Dong Hai Road. The city's famous scenic spot ''Yan Island Autumn Tide'' in the southeast corner of Yanerdao Mountain, which is near the mountain and facing the sea providing a beautiful scenery. In 2008, the Olympic Sailing Center held the Sailing Regatta and Paralympic Sailing of Bejing Olympic Games successfully. The Olympic Sailing Center, after renovation was opened officially on 29 September, 2008. At the same time, the First Marine Culture Festival was also successfully held. With the continuous development, as a landmark building in Qingdao, the Olympic Sailing Center is planning more projects.

May Fourth Square

To the north of May Fourth Square is the Qingdao municipal government office building, and the south near the float valley, covering a total area of 10 hectares. Because Qingdao is famous for the great May Fourth movement fuse of China's modern history, so it intends to carry forward the May Fourth patriotic spirit to inspire people and welcome the arrival of the new century. The May Fourth Square is divided into two parts - south and north. The office buildings, implicit fountains , bitmap fountains, '' May Wind'' sculpture, sea 100 metres fountain that are distributed in central axis show a grave, strong and vigorous grandeur rhythmically. They are more vibrant, full of modern flavor under the backdrop of scenic area. The 30 meters high “May Wind” sculpture, with its upward-spiral steel body structure, relying on the modeling elements of pure closing permutation and combination for rotating leaps litres of the wind'' modeling , which fully embodies the anti-imperialist and anti-feudal patriotic tone and national power of leaping liters. Now it has become one of the iconic landscape of the new century. The square plant configuration gives the type of cold season lawn of the four seasons evergreen priority to tone, and little long bai , gold leaf privet, turtle early Holly,purple leaf dissolubility, abundant flower rose atlas, consitituting big color piece with modern garden breath. The Pine, GeHuan, resistance to winter and other flowers and trees adorned among them. With the mainbody sculpture and Haitian natural environment organic ground fused together, forming the magnificent scenery of the zone.
